We've made some upgrades to our Black Eagle® Tactical Low that we are sure you're going to like! We switched out our traditional fast lacing laces with bungee laces that are expandable and won't slip in the lock clip. It lets you slip in and out of your shoe without adjustment. Quick in and quick out, no fuss. We also changed the lace pocket to a fabric pouch that keeps your laces tightly tucked away with a more streamlined look. Tuck the laces in, and forget it.

GORE-TEX® Laminate with Sun Reflect
Black Eagle® Tactical 2.1 GTX Low features a lightweight, all leather design and a GORE-TEX® inner liner which makes it durably waterproof. Your feet will stay comfortable indoors and out, in wet or dry conditions. The European leather is breathable and features HAIX® Sun Reflect that keeps sun and it’s resulting heat at bay, keeping your feet about 20% cooler than other black leather boots.

NEW Smart Lacing System for Quick In and Out
The newer smart lacing system with bungee lacing lets you get in and out without ever again having to tie laces. The expandable bungee laces allow you to slip your feet in and out of your shoes without having to make adjustments, and certainly without the need to tie and untie laces. The smart lacing mechanism locks your laces in place and any extra lacing tucks into the handy lace pocket for a streamlined look. No more tripping or stopping because your laces came untied.

Slip Resistant Soles and Cushioned Insoles
The Black Eagle® sole is comprised of a unique rubber compound and tread profiling that offers exceptional grip on a variety of different surfaces and long-lasting durability. Add to that the soles are fuel, oil and heat resistant, heat and cold insulating, and non-marking and you have a shoe that will carry you through any circumstance. HAIX Black Eagle Tactical 2.1 GTX Low

These shoes are very comfortable. After reading the reviews I ordered a Wide size as suggested and it is a perfect fit. This is the third pair that I have ordered over 20 years. I've worn other brands in between and always come back to Haix shoes. As other reviews noted the laces take some time to adjust and get used to. I have only been wearing these a couple of weeks but I may replace the laces with a traditional style.

Wide is not Wide

I love the shoes and this is my 4th pair. I had to buy shoes stretchers because the "wide" is not wide (at all). I've been buying my own shoes for over 35 years and this is the only shoe brand that I've used that doesn't fit in the width. You have to leave them in the shoe stretchers for a couple weeks to get the leather to the proper size.

Great police shoe

This is my second pair of these shoes. The first, I bought 3 years ago. I used a different pair of shoes in between and will probably only buy Hair from now on. They're light and athletic, yet water proof and durable. For me, they're an ideal spring, summer, fall patrol shoe.
The only knock is I agree the lacing system is a bit tricky to get it snug enough that your foot won't fall out without over tightening. With a little guess and check I was able to get them perfect.

Very Comfortable

Love these shoes. I've been in public safety for 34 years. I am currently a school resource officer and also work part time as a paramedic. I have nerve damage to my feet form all the years working on them. These shoes feel great on my feet.

Issues with elastic laces

These shoes are extremely comfortable! The only problem I have is with the lacing system. When I have to takeoff running my heel slips out of the shoe. It didn’t seem to matter how tight I got the laces. I am planning on replacing the laces with traditional shoelaces. Other than that, a great shoe.

great shoe

Fit was sung for my wide foot but was very comfortable about an hour into walking in them. I'm a large frame person and this shoe really gives me the stability I was looking for.

Great work shoe

As a UPS delivery driver I walk on various surfaces all day every day. Since wearing these shoes I’ve not slipped or slid on anything. This alone makes them the best work shoe I’ve owned. Add in the smart laces and comfort and support , I’ll recommend these to all of my coworkers

Comfortable Tac Shoes

Narrow

I was excited to out these on my feet. So disappointed when I slid my foot in and the shoe was way too narrow. No wide widths in this style The return process was easy and I plan on trying another type boot.

New Midsole is not good

The new croatian"two layer midsole" is not as good as the former chinese "Energy return system + Ground impact Cushioning" midsole. The original version is like a pair of running shoes, the new model is like a concrete shoes. I will change the insoles and hope that they will get more comfortable. I´m really disappointed with the purchase of these 2.0. The width, leather, and lace system are great.

We are glad that you like the full-grain leather used throughout and the Smart Lacing System for quick adjustment and easy on/off of the boot. We are sorry to hear that you don't like the new features of this boot. We talked with members of law enforcement to give us some suggestions to make this boot better. Since they are now made in Croatia, we had to change the sole construction, making them heat resistant . The tread on the soles is now self-cleaning and there is more padding on the tongue for additional comfort. Hopefully, changing out the insoles will help give you the comfort you were expecting. We are constantly looking for improvements and I will certainly pass your concerns up the chain of command for consideration. We apologize that these boots didn't live up to your expectations but hope you will still consider HAIX boots in the future.

Not the same as the old Eagle Tacticals.

Unfortunately these are not the same as the older version. Much harder feel, narrower toe box than the previous version. The older version felt like a sneaker. The newer version feels more like every one else's boot, it does have great support without the same cushioning. The upper looks great.

Unfortunately I purchased 3 pairs: 1 Eagle Athletic GTX 2.0 Low, 1 Eagle Tactical GTX 2.0 Low, and 1 Eagle Tactical GTX 2.0 Mid. I have only worn the Eagle Tactical GTX 2.0 Low and have tried them for a month hoping they would stretch but I come home from work with my left foot in pain daily.

These models are now being made in Croatia so we had to change the sole construction and the leather that was used. Some officers had given us suggestions about possible upgrades to this boot. They asked for it to be all uniform black in color without the shiny gloss area on the back. The soles are now heat-resistant along with being fuel and oil resistant. The tread on the soles is self-cleaning and there is more padding in the tongue for additional comfort. We apologize that these upgrades didn't live up to your expectations but we certainly hope this will not deter you from being a loyal HAIX customer in the future.

Haix Black Eagle Tacticsl 2.0 GTX

I have been a loyal Haix customer for about 4 or 5 years. I first bought the Black Eagle Tactical low shoe after I tried them on and it felt like I was walking on air. It took 15 seconds and I was sold. Since then I have bought 4 pairs. I like the fact that they are warrantied. I even got a new pair because on shoe was loose. The first pair I bought from a uniform store after that I bought directly from Haix. Recently I purchased a pair of the new 2.0 GTX . I was excited to get them. I have been wearing them for a week and I have to say I am disappointed. Although I don't have a wide foot, the new shoes don't feel wide enough. Also they don't have that walking on air feeling that the original Black Eagle had. It feels like I'm walking on concrete without shoes. Also my feet burn in them. Unfortunately I have to return them because they hurt my feet. I am going to order the original Black Eagle Low Tactical. I still love the Haix company but they made the new shoe too stiff. This is my opinion. Someone else could love the new shoe

HAIX Tactical Eagle

Yes, a wide width would be preferable to me as well. Because you do not have a wide width, I need to order an extra size shoe. Outside of that, I love the shoe. It is comfortable, has great support, keeps my feet cool and at the end of the day, I don't want to take them off. With my previous duty shoes before I got HAIX, I could not wait to get them off. These are great!

No wide widths

Still disappointed this line of shoe/boot has no wide width. I have a pair of the Blackhawk safty toe ones and they are great but I get flak for the non polishable toe guard.

I am sure these are every bit as comfortable as the safety toe variant but the lack of wide widths means people like me can't wear them. Please make wide widths available.
